Leck mich im Arsch
Forever WIP
December 2019 - March 2020Honestly, as I revisit this page in November 2024, I find it a bit embarrassing to have such an unfinished piece up here. I think I was trying too hard to prove that I’m a self-learner, showing off that even though I was a Painting major, I was experimenting with AR tools on my own (before it was COVID cool). Blah blah blah—“Look at me, I’m so cool” kind of thing.
It’s cringeworthy, but I think I’ll leave it here as a little act of self-shaming.

*Putting this never finish prototype here to remind myself to come back to it one day.*
Four months before the outbreak of COVID-19, I was just starting to play with AR. I was having quite a fun time building simple AR apps using RealityKit from XCode (sounds so 2019). Anway the pandemic happened, everything and everyone turning virtual, the virtual no longer felt like a safe space to escape to. Here’s a space to document my short-lived pre-pandemic AR life with 2 works, Escape Reality, and Leck mich im Arsch.
Leck mich im Arsch
A Tribute to Mozart-Leck mich im Arsch (German for "Lick me in the arse") is a piece by Mozart that shows how playful classical music could be. There are many Youtube videos on this work, explaining how clever it is, with a play on languages, please feel free to Google more on your own.
-I made this because I am self-aware of how uncool I am for loving classical music as an East Asian. It’s almost like I never decolonized my brain.
-The painting is done with Japanese text of “Lick me in the ass,” just to shoutout to the fact that Japan is the biggest non-European market for classical music. Plus, I think Mozart would’ve love reading manga if he was alive.
